MOTO GUZZI’S BEST SELLING MODEL IS REINTRODUCED IN ITS MOST EXCEPTIONAL FORM

 

 

The V7 was a revolution the moment it hit the streets. In 1967 the Moto Guzzi V7, the first Italian superbike, made its market debut and transformed motorcycling, to the delight of experts and the public alike. The brainchild of Giulio Cesare Carcano, the V7 implemented the innovative 90° transverse V-twin engine with a displacement of 703 cc, a record at that time, and immediately established itself as the world ambassador for Moto Guzzi prestige, elegance and reliability. To this day, the Moto Guzzi V7 remains one of the most celebrated and well-known Moto Guzzi models of this rich history. Fifty years later, Moto Guzzi introduces the third act of a first work: The 2017 Moto Guzzi V7 III.

Over the weekend, the 2017 Moto Guzzi V7 III was presented for the first time to an American audience at The Progressive International Motorcycle Show in Chicago. Serving as the brand's best-seller since 2009, and entry-point for Moto Guzzi, the V7 III arrives new for 2017 with updated features, performance, and pricing, making it easier, and more enjoyable to own one of these motorcycles of legend, 50 years in the making.

 

FOUR VERSIONS AND INFINITE INTERPRETATIONS

V7 III returns in its three popular versions, Stone, Special and Racer that now, compared with the past, take on stronger connotations and differ even more from one another. For 2017, the V7 range expands, paying homage to fifty years of the V7 model by introducing a fourth version, the Anniversario, a numbered limited edition, characterized by brand new and exclusive details.

2017 V7 III ANNIVERSARIO: TRIBUTE TO THE ORIGINS OF THE V7 LEGEND
Dedicated to true admirers of the eagle brand, the V7 III Anniversario implements cutting-edge technology to celebrate the unique style of the V7, the symbol of fifty years of international success for Moto Guzzi. The commemorative model is offered in a limited edition, with the number forged on the machined-from-solid handlebar base. The V7 III Anniversario is unquestionably the most fully featured V7 ever, with a standard genuine leather saddle, a work of art worthy of the top customizers, polished aluminum fenders and milled engine cooling fins. The tribute to the original V7 includes an elaborate chrome motif, beginning with the fuel tank featuring the Moto Guzzi eagles in a gilt finish.

2017 V7 III RACER: SPORTY SOPHISTICATION
True to the racing tradition of the eagle brand, the V7 III Racer is a true custom bike with incredible attention to detail, offered in a limited edition. The references to Moto Guzzi’s sporting triumphs begin with the “Racing Red” color of the frame and swingarm, inspired by the legendary “red frame” V7 Sport from 1971, coupled with the new graphics for the satin-chrome fuel tank dominated by the red eagle. The racing look continues with the clip-ons and racer saddle, while the side panels and injector covers in black anodized aluminum are a thing of beauty. This traditionally one-seat model shows its versatility with a standard type-approved two-seat version featuring special passenger footpegs, and Öhlins shock absorbers for improved handling.

2017 V7 III SPECIAL: CONTEMPORARY CLASSIC STYLE
The heritage of the original V7 is the inspiration for this elegant motorcycle, with generous chrome trim and shiny graphics, in Nero Inchiostro (Ink Black with green accents) and Blu Zaffiro (Blue Sapphire with orange and silver accents) versions. The colored band on the under-seat side panels matching the racing stripe on the fuel tank pays tribute to the unforgettable V750 S3 from 1975. A host of distinctive details include spoked wheels with polished aluminum channels and black hubs, an instrument panel with two circular dials and the “old-school” look of the quilt-stitched saddle, complete with new passenger grab rail.

2017 V7 III STONE: DARK URBAN SPIRIT
The dark soul of the V7 reveals its eclectic and essential nature with an aesthetic that eschews chrome in favor of matte black paint. The profoundly metropolitan dark matte look is completed with a single-dial instrument panel, a new saddle, a shortened front mudguard and, a unique feature in the V7 III range, light alloy spoked wheels. The V7 III Stone offers a foray into color, with versions reprising the color schemes of the 1970s: Azzurro Elettrico (Electric Blue), Verde Camouflage (Camouflage Green), Giallo Energico (Energetic Yellow) and the ever-present Nero Ruvido (Rough Black).

Fox Racing & See See Motorcycles Announce Collaboration!

 

 

See See Motorcycles and Fox Racing have joined creative forces and produced a limited edition moto line with the smell of Team See See all over it.  The See See team will be testing this bond out on the track come Sunday February 12th during The One Motorcycle Show 1-PRO flat-track races including Andy Dibrino, Super Hooligan race winner of the last years 1-PRO Hooligan class, and Del Mar's Hooligan... alongside free style rider Jimmy Hill.

Dibrino is a fast, talented and multifaceted racer.  He's not afraid to get down and dirty on the track but off the track he's got that good old fashion sense of respect and politeness about him.  Dibrino is a northwest kid through and through and takes his racing seriously but always has fun doing it. Dibrino #62 in MotoAmerica, road race / flat-track / Motocross / Supermoto and now one of our official Hooligan team racers for the Super Hooligan race series, and already taking multiple first place trophies away from the new series.  We're excited to see him race with the Pros and the Hooligans for The One Motorcycle Show 1-PRO races on Sunday Feb. 12th at Salem Speedway testing out the this fantastic collaboration.

Roland Sands Designis proud to bring America the “thrills and spills” of Street Bike Flat Track Racing, with the 2017 Super Hooligan National Championship Series (SHNC). We’ve selected the best events in the country to be part of the series, which aims to establish the frightening, yet rewarding craft of piloting street bikes at break-neck speeds around tracks of dirt and concrete. The riders are the stars and comprised of a unique and diverse background of every type of rider, from washed up Champions to plumbers, crusty flat trackers and roadracers as well as everyday Joes, Nine-to-Fivers, Stunt and Motocross riders, and everything in between. It’s a no-holds-barred battle to the stripe on 500 lbs. of fury. With races across the country ranging from specialty bike shows and concerts to pro American Flat Track events and beach-side racing, the diversity promises a unique experience at each event. Indian Motorcycle has generously offered up its crown jewel, the FTR750 Factory Indian Scout GNC-ready race bike as the championship prize. Dunlop Tires, Motul Oils, K&N Filters and Bell Helmets are also involved in a big way, bringing generous contingency checks to the competitors, rewarding heroic rides and top finishers. Husqvarna Reports Increase in Global Sales

A Third Consecutive Year of Record Breaking Sales as Swedish Marque Tops 30K Units Globally

 

 

Enjoying highly encouraging results during the business year 2016, Husqvarna Motorcycles have come close to doubling both their production and turnover in the last two years. Reaching total global sales of 30,700 units during the 12 months to December 31st 2016, the European premium manufacturer achieved an increase of both, units sold and turnover, of 43%.

This result follows the 32% gain in bikes sales during 2015 and underlines the brand’s positive strategy of growth. Generating the largest ever turnover in the brand’s history at the end of 2015, Husqvarna’s annual, worldwide turnover increased significantly in 2016, reaching more than 200 million Euros.

2016 saw Husqvarna successfully launch the all-new 2017 line-up of FE and TE Enduro models, available from September onward. In addition, the new 701 ENDURO and 701 SUPERMOTO models with the latest class leading engine technology have been also released during the second half of the year.

Importantly, Husqvarna completed their range of motocross bikes with the introduction of the 2016 TC 50 and TC 65 models. Together with the TC 85 and an extensive line-up of full-sized 2-stroke and 4-stroke models, Husqvarna now offers a complete range of nine motocross bikes.
In 2016 Husqvarna also unveiled the serial production version of the VITPILEN 401 and the SVARTPILEN 401 – the brand’s first, exciting ‘Real Street’ motorcycles will be available at dealers’ floor in late Autumn 2017. The newly introduced models will ensure the future expansion of the Husqvarna Motorcycles brand in the street motorcycle segment.
